Note :

1. Suspension clamps (Envelop Type) are flexible and moveable along the axis of the conductors only & provides minimum power loses. These type of clamps are very commonly used in sub-stations.

Note :

1. Free center type suspension clamps are moveable in both horizontal & vertical directions about the C.G. of the clamp. Hence this type clamps are very flexible. Conductors can also remain very safe.

The suspension clamps are made out of Aluminium Alloy by gravity casting. "U" bolts, nuts & washers are made of mild steel duly hot dip galvanized. To reduce power looses, these may also be made of stainless steel.

Note :

1. Trunion type suspension clamps are also very flexible both from the top & bottom of the clamp. But the clamp is free to move about horizontal axis.
