We are exporting 100% of all our products for past 20 years to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia,Brunei,Myanmar,Sri Lanka,Middle East, Africa, U.K. and Europe.

Utilex Engineering Pvt. Ltd. was founded by Mr. Gopal Krishnan M., Mg. Director in the year 1989. Mr. Gopal Krishnan started his career since 1970 in the Power Transmission Line and did many projects in various companies before he started Utilex Engineering Pvt. Ltd., in 1989.  He visited over 40 times to South East Asia and won many contracts for supply of 11kV, 22kV and 33kV line hardware & accessories from many States Electricity Boards in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, and Thailand.  Since then, Utilex has developed more than 200 items in overhead transmission line hardware and Switchgear components for exports.   

We also supply Porcelain Insulators along with our Pole Line hardware and we have our Associate Manufacturer having a Modern Plant in Collaboration with NGK Japan. We are directly buying the insulators from them, thoroughly under our inspection and stuffing the containers directly at factory to avoid breakage.

Our Manufacturing Units :

1. Aluminium Die Casting components – in Mumbai.
   
   Here we process Tension Clamps, Suspension Clamps, PG Clamps, and all other Aluminium hardware for the overhead lines. Raw material used is LM6 Grade Aluminium Alloy Billets, either imported or from best manufacturers in India with test reports.
    

2. Mild Steel Hardware Manufacturing Unit – in Howrah (West Bengal)

   Here we process:

   1)	Stay sets for the pole anchoring, complete set with Stay Rod, Bow, and plate. Equipped to manufacture any size as per customer's requirement. Hot Dip Galvanizing is done from a specialized unit outside as per BS specification.
   2)	Also Steel Forged hardware such as Anchor Shackle, Ball Link, Socket Eye, Arcing horn, Insulator Pins, and Cross Arms, other hardware. Here also we get the Hot Dip galvanizing done from a specialized unit outside.

For Line Hardware, we have also more than 20 vendors, other than our own units.  We give them drawings/specifications and our dies and tools with raw material, to process line hardware, and then our engineers test the quality of each product before packing for export. This way our production capacity is increased to meet many project supplies at a time.  

We strictly do the quality control before packing of each item,  and specific standard is maintained. Sometime, we get the entire goods tested by 3rd party quality inspectors like SGS / QSS etc. Since 20 years from inception, there was not even a single item rejected or reported failure in our supplies to electricity boards / contractors aboard. Also we have test certificates for all our products from CPRI (Central Power Research Institute) a government of India test lab.

Our Export products includes products  manufactured by our sister  Companies apart from our own products, the following are our export products processed by our sister companies, quality control strictly done by us:

1. Switch Board / Panel Board accessories in Brass / Copper / Stainless Steel, and other metal.

2. Insulation Board - full board or cut to specific size.

3. Brass electrical components - as per our catalogue.

4. Cable Lugs/Bi-metal Lugs - as per our catalogue

5. Cable Glands - as per our catalogue.

6. All other items as per our catalogue.

We have been certified since year 2000 by AQA – USA for ISO 9001 -2000 compliant, and now we are getting ISO 9001 – 2008 from UKAS Certification from URS (U.K.)
