Service Grip Dead Ends
are designed to secure conductors for house service
(domestic) connections.
Service Grip Dead Ends
are recommended for house service due to of minimum
length, maximum economy and neat appearance.
Service Grip Dead End
is a limited tension deadend : for bare homogeneous
messenger conductors (Aluminium, aluminium alloy and
copper) the holding strength of grips is about 80 to
90% of the rated conductor strength. With ACSR -
AACSR conductors, the holding strength does not
exceed 40% to 65% of the rated strength.
Service Grip Dead Ends
are manufactured with Aluminium Alloy wire or
Aluminium covered steel wire for AAC, AAAC & ACSR
and copper coated steel wire for copper conductors.
The lay direction is same as the outer layer of the
conductor on which it is to be applied.
These accessories are
supplied with an identification label indicating the
following :
-
Manufacturer's name
/ logo.
-
Product name and
Cat. No.
-
Lay Direction
-
Suitable Insulator
size
-
Minimum and maximum
size of conductor to which it is applied.
-
Month & year of
manufacturing
Upon
request, we can also supply the dead-ends made of
aluminium covered steel wire with end protection.
For
service drop spans exceeding 50 m, the DISTRIBUTION
GRIP DEAD-END IS RECOMMENDED.
Important : NO TO BE RE-USED AFTER ORIGINAL
APPLICATION.
