Pre-formed armour rods are manufactured from
aluminium alloy IS:65032 for the protection of
conductors at the point of suspension, on alignment
with angles. They protect conductors for line angle
upto 30º. Armour rods fit tightly with the conductor
and sit on the suspension clamps thus preventing
bending of conductor thereby restoring conductivity.
Lay direction of the armour rods is same as that of
the outer standing of the conductor to which it is
applied. Armour rods are supplied either with ball
ends or parrot bill ends.
